Luxire – green striped casual shirt review.
I have been very excited for the last week or so because of my planned delivery of the shipment from Luxire – online mtm shirt and trousers tailoring brand. There are many clothes I got from them, mainly shirts. I believe most of them actually is from Luxire.
Ostatni tydzien byl dosc ekscytujacy bo oczekiwalem przesylki od Luxire – marki, ktora na zamowienie, szycie pasowane, wykonuje koszule oraz spodnie. Wpominalem juz o nich kilkukrotnie, na dole posta mozna zobaczyc tez inne posty w ktorych o nich pisalem – zachecam do zagladniecia. Mam calkiem sporo rzeczy od Luxire, przede wszystkim koszule, ale tez kilka par spodni. W zasadzie to wiekszosc ciuchow, ktore teraz kupuje jest od Luxire. Jest to usluga internetowa wiec trzeba byc dosc przekonanym co do swoich wymiarow.
Fabric and details
This time I was expecting a shipment of three shirts. I will try to cover each of them in a separate post because I am very happy with them. I have done some adjustments since last order and could not wait to see how they turn out. One of the shirts I ordered is this green striped rather light in fabric shirt with a soft (lined and soft fused) collar. Shirt is made using 20 stitches per inch. The buttons are very solid, made of pear (they are called mother-of-pearl buttons). It also does not have a tie gap and the collar band is slightly higher than my usual shirts. I wanted to make it look more Italian. I also added a detail which you can see only on a true Italian shirts. It is so called spalla camicia – shirring of a fabric. It occurs in the place where the sleeve is attached to the main body. You can see it in more detail in the photos below. This shirring was added to the back of the shirt as well.
Tym razem w paczce znajdowaly sie trzy koszule. Postaram sie kazda z nich opisac przy okazji odrebnego posta bo tak bardzo jestem z nich zadowolony. Usatysfakcjonowanym z tego rodzaju zamowienia mozna byc tak dlugo jak sie jest swiadomym ograniczen wynikajacych z uslugi szycia ‘na miare online’, swoich niedoskonalosci i umiejetnosci w zamowieniu poprawnych wymiarow. Ja wlasnie wprowadzilem poprawki od czasu ostatniego zamowienia, wiec bylem ciekaw jak sie sprawdzily. Jedna z koszul jaka zamowilem jest ta dosc casualowa koszula w zielone paski wykonana z dosc lekkiej tkaniny. Koszula ma stosunkowo miekki kolnierzyk, z raczej miekkim wkladem. Wykonano ja uzywajac gestosci sciegu 20 przeszyc na 1 cal. Guziki, bardzo solidne, wykonane z masy perlowej, natomiast wada moze byc dla niektorych to, ze dosc grube. W kolnierzyku zdecydowalem nie stosowac przerwy na krawat, a takze podniesc troche wysokosc stojki. Jako cel obralem sobie wyglad bardziej wloski, zrelaksowany, nie najbardziej elegancki. Dodalem takze delikatne marszczenie w miejscu wszycia rekawa – tzw. spalla camicia oraz przy wszysciu plecow do karczku.
Fabric is rather soft and light which makes it very comfortable to wear. Cuffs are lined only – similarly as the collar. In my opinion it is being spread at the right angle – which definitely helps in creating the right balance between the tie and lapels of the jacket.
Tkanina jest raczej miekka, co dla mnie jest bardzo istotna cecha – to takze miedzy innymi powod dla ktorego koszule lniane nie sa na szczcycie mojej listy. Mankiety podobnie jak kolnierzyk nie sa klejone. Kolnierz to moj nowy projekt. Wydluzylem wylogi kolnierzyka, a to w polaczeniu z brakiem przerwy na krawat poprawia wg mnie wrazenie smuklego przejscia z linii klap marynarki do twarzy.
Luxire – online mtm tailors
Luxire itself is amazing at providing you with a customer service that it would be difficult to find anywhere else. They are very accommodating in terms of the details you want. Basically they are able to produce a shirt to your exact specifications and measurements, they reply to email very quickly (although there are people on styleforum who experienced something opposite) and do not charge more for extra adjustments. You pay for the fabric and then can enjoy the process of creating (designing) the shirt for yourself. Once you get the measurements right, which might take some time, then it is a pure pleasure of ordering a remake of your shirt only in different fabric. Can’t wait to order more! It is also worth browsing this thread on styleforum to see what Luxire is able to do. You can at least browse the photos because the thread is already 10600 posts long ;).
Luxire to marka, ktora zadziwia obsluga klienta. Sa w stanie spelnic niemal kazda prosbe i zachcianke stylistyczna. Nie ma w zasadzie tego, czego nie byliby sie w stanie podjac. Mimo tego, ze sa osoby na styleforum, ktore doswiadczyly przerw w odpisywaniu na ich maile ze strony Luxire to mnie nigdy to nie spotkalo. Nawet jesli zapomnialem dodac jakiegos szczegolu do zamowienia to uzupelnilem to mailowo. Zawsze otrzymywalem potwierdzenie, ze moja prosbe uwzgledniono. Luxire nie kaze sobie placic wiecej za wymyslne detale czy dodatki. Cena jest jednakowa. Wybiera sie material, wpisuje wymiary, a pozniej w notatkach mozna swoj wyrob dowolnie modyfikowac, wklejac zdjecia, linki do stron itd. Najtrudniejszym procesem i najwazniejszym oczywiscie jest dopasowanie wymiarow. Zakladajac, ze wiekszosc z nas nie zna sie na tym tak jak prawdziwy krawiec, dopasowanie moze zajac 1 lub kilka koszul. Kiedy jednak jestesmy zadowoleni z wymiarow mozemy jedynie powolywac sie na numer poprzedniego zamowienia, wybierac material, pracic i niecierpliwie oczekiwac przesylki. Warto na pewno zagladnac na oficjalny watek dotyczacy Luxire na styleforum, choc jest juz dosc dlugi bo osiagnal ponad 10600 postow.
Outfit
I am also wearing a pair of trousers from Luxire, rather high waisted and with a wider waistbound, made of light grey wool from Dugdale. The tie is from Drakes and the pocket square from Vanda Fine Clothing – a great brand which I should feature in one of the posts sometime soon. Shoes are from Loake 1880 range.
Oprocz koszuli od Luxire, mam na sobie spodnie takze przez nich wykonane. Nie sa jeszcze idealne i trudniej dopasowac kroj niz w koszuli, ale caly czas dokonuje poprawek i jest lepiej. Wykonane sa z welny od Dugdale, kolor to jasny/sredni szary, gramatura 280-310g. Krawat od Drake’s a poszetka od Vanda Fine Clothing – swietna marka, stosunkowo nowa, o ktorej na pewno napisze osobny post. Buty to model Strand z linii Loake 1880.
